DEWALT engineered the DC800 to accept a 36V battery and becomes the latest member of the High
Torque Impact Wrench lineup of heavy-duty cordless impact driver and wrench family. The DC800's
impact mechanism directs torque to the fastener without kickback. Combining high torque with
1,400 rpm and 2,500 bpm provides the power and speed to drive larger lag screws or concrete
anchors into pressure treated materials and concrete. The patented anvil design with detent pin
socket retention holds sockets longer and stronger. DEWALT High Torque wrenches are the only
cordless impact wrenches equipped with a rocker switch for quick and easy forward and reverse.
From anchors and lug nuts to lag screws and speed bolts the DC800KL was designed for heavy-duty
use. Durability is enhanced through a heavy-duty magnesium gear case and durable all-metal
transmission. The anti-slip comfort grip provides extended control and comfort. The DEWALT
exclusive 36V nano-phosphate lithium ion battery weighs the same as an 18V NiCd battery, delivers
twice the power and runtime of 18V and 2,000 recharges. The DC800KL comes equipped with two
36V battery packs, 1-hour charger and a heavy-duty kit box.

January 2006 – DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, today announced the
launch of its heavy-duty 36V impact wrench (DC800KL). DEWALT engineered the DC800KL with a 36V
battery, providing professional users with increased levels of power and runtime, while maintaining
a similar weight to corded and other 18V impact wrenches. The DC800KL was built from the ground
up with innovative features that increase the speed, power and durability of the tool. The DC800KL
provides professional contractors with the performance of a corded impact wrench without the
restriction of a power cord.
DEWALT designed the DC800KL with a patented all-metal anvil that holds sockets stronger and
longer, helping to prevent shearing. The DC800KL is also equipped with a user-preferred rocker
switch design, allowing end users to quickly and easily transition between forward and reverse
settings. A heavy-duty impact mechanism allows the 36V impact wrench to deliver enough torque to
complete the most demanding applications.
Additionally the DC800KL has a DEWALT designed high-speed, all-metal transmission that delivers
